HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
“Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter. Lullabies, dreams and love ever after. Poems and songs with pipes and drums. A thousand welcomes when anyone comes… That’s the Irish for you!”

Meet Corky a mischievous Dragonfly Fairy of the Irish Mist.  Corky’s wings and body glisten with blue, gold, purple and rust colored faerie dust.

Corky loves to play pranks…especially on St. Patrick’s Day! It is said, on St. Patrick’s Day, if you place an item down (i.e. eyeglasses, ring, necklace, keys..) and it turns up missing, you have been visited by Corky. Of course, by the next day, the item is back where you originally put it. 🙂

Body:  wooden clothespin (2.5 inch) covered with faerie dust (glitter glue).

Hair:  Red feather from an old boa.

Wings: Satin dragonfly applique (one of the many treasures found in a bag of scrap material purchased at a garage sale). Wings also adorned with a piece of a broken crystal earring found on one of my walks.

Base: (purchased bag of 6 at the Dollar store) has a moss-covered look and feel.

Enjoy!

      Hi Elaine,
Thank you for your critique and appreciating my creations! I never thought of checking out Boulder City as a place to sell my dolls. I will definitely look into it.

Thanks, again, for checking out my blog. CM

Mimi: I love this doll. My favorite part it’s her hair. It’s funny, gracious, and stylish as her name : “Corky a mischievous Dragonfly Fairy of the Irish Mist”.
